About IPGA

Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association was established in the year 1973. The Association is registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Association is affiliated to Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association (IPCA), the Federal Body of the Five Associations Namely IPGA, IPA, IHPA, APTl And AlDCOC. IPGA has got the Income Tax exemption under section 80G (5) (VI)) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association is national level association of Indian Pharmacy Graduates. It has been working from the last 50 years for the upliftment of professionals of pharmacy. The association has a mission to improve the professional status of pharmacy graduates and to secure their rightful place in pharmacy and allied professions. At present IPGA has around 10,000 Life Members across the country. To provide strength to the profession of pharmacy, we feel that the pharmacy graduates from all corners of the country should join hands under the banner of IPGA to provide impetus on the national issues and programmes. IPGA has been constantly engaged in conducting workshops, annual conferences, seminars, and other activities to update the knowledge and skills of pharmacy professionals. It also publishes quarterly newsletter in the name of IPGA Today, which covers the various activities performed by the state branches and other articles on recent advancement and pharmaceutical sciences. IPGA is a charitable professional organization and is exempted from contributions under the section 80G of income tax act.

Objectives:

  • To ensure proper Education and Training for Pharmacy Graduates.
  • To convey the faculty the specific role played by Pharmacy Graduates
  • To ensure benefit to the faculty about the capability of Pharmacy Graduates
  • To foster mutually beneficial relations amongst the members and to inculcate a sense of Professional Ethics.
  • To liaise with the decision-making authorities and employees to project the contribution of Pharmacy Graduates and to strive to get the Pharmacy and other allied professions, positions and perks commensurate with their qualifications and contributions.
  • To represent at all places and times whenever an injustice is done to the rightful position of a Graduates Pharmacists within the constitutional frame work of our country.
