This was a special project initiated by IPGASF on the topic “Outlining and assessing the different means that people adopt to discard the unwanted or expired medicines on the grounds of rationality”. The agenda for the Pharmacy Reform Goal 2019 decided by IPGASF was Proper patient counseling on safe medication disposal as it is an alarming issue today and gaining more and more awareness from the healthcare professionals as well as consumers. There is a lack of awareness associated with appropriate disposal of expired, unwanted, and unused medications. Some international and national studies showed that most patients stored their medications improperly at home that may lead to undesirable effects or unintentional risks like improper self-medication, accidental overdose, and prescription drug abuse. After conducting a 4 month long descriptive study, the project was concluded on 6Th April, 2019 with a special presentation on correct methods of disposal of pharmaceutical waste.

About 400 students from various pharmacy colleges across Delhi NCR came together to participate and celebrate the World Pharmacist Day organized at DIPSAR. The day was marked with various activities like PharmaQuiz, Poster Presentation, Devise A Policy, Poster Making, Label Making, Rangoli Making, Extempore. Judges from various disciplines were invited and students winners were awarded with cash prizes and certificates. The valedictory event was concluded with understanding the true essence of being a pharmacist and roles that he is expected to deliver towards the society.

The Career Counselling and CV Writing Workshop was a one day event which aimed to provide students of Pharmacy with an enhanced spirit to look at their future prospects with the help of leaders who are already excelling at their field of work. The one day event was divided into two halves. First Half: The first half of the event was entirely focussed on discussing the various career avenues of the pharmacy profession and the different approach to achieve them. The interactive sessions were conducted by: 1. Ms. Chinnmayee Abbey on Art of CV Writing. 2. Mr Sachin Nichal on How big is Pharma Industry. 3. Dr. Vijay Bhalla on Career Prospects of Pharmacy Profession.
