Mr. Atul Kumar Nasa is the President of Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association (IPGA) & Managing Trustee of IPGA WELFARE TRUST. Atul Kumar Nasa, deputy drugs controller with charge of Controlling & Licensing Authority (CLA) at the drugs control department in the Delhi government, has been awarded the ‘Best Drugs Control Officer Award -2017’ instituted by the All India Drugs Control Officers’ Confederation (AIDCOC). He has also been accorded the ‘Fellowship of Indian Pharmaceutical Association’ considering his hitherto entire professional trajectory in the field of pharmacy and drugs regulation. Both the recognitions were given to him during the inaugural session of the 69th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress, held at Chitkara University in Rajpura in Punjab recently. Currently, A K Nasa is the head of office of the drugs control department with the government at the national capital territory (NCT) of Delhi. An officer with more than 25 years experience in enforcement of drug laws, Atul Nasa has participated various national and international conferences on pharmacy and related fields. He has been a part of all the programs organized by WHO, CDSCO and other industry associations on myriad topics related to drug regulations. He is a member of the Drugs Consultative Committee (DCC) and also a member of the national pharmacy council (PCI).
Prof (Dr.) Arun Garg, Director, World college of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jhajjar, Haryana, did his Post graduation in Pharmacology from Delhi University in 1986(GOLD MEDALIST) under the guidance of Prof (Dr.) S. S. Agrawal and Doctorate from The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai in 2006 under the guidance of Dr B Suresh, President , PCI & Pro - Chancellor, JSS University, Mysore. His research on Hepatotoxicity & Liver Regeneration was recognized by Indian Pharmacological Society and was awarded Dr. B. Mukherjee Award- for best paper in Indian Journal of Pharmacology. Further he was also conferred with Hamdard National Foundation Research Award for his research on Cinkara. He also bagged Gold Medal Award for standing first position in M. Pharmacology in University of Delhi in the year 1986. He is also a recipient of prestigious Young Teacher Award by Society of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (SPER) in the year 2012. Mr. Vijay Bhalla has been serving as a Treasurer of Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association from past six years and has actively involved with the association from last 20 years. He did Diploma in Pharmacy in the year 1980 and Bachelor of Pharmacy from Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR) from Delhi University in 1983. Having obtained the Masters degree in Pharmacy from Delhi University in the year 1985, started his career with Upjohn a US based multinational organization as a Medical Representative, later worked with Pharmaceutical giants like Hindustan Ciba Geigy, Sandoz, Novartis in various capacities. Having the flair and acumen for teaching Mr. Bhalla joined UP Technical University as Associate Professor in the year 2005 and was elevated as Head of Department, Dean Academics and Principal at various institutes. He is serving as Director in Lloyd School of Pharmacy, Greater Noida.
Dr. Deependra Singh is presently working at University Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.) India, one of the oldest and biggest universities in the state. He is the nominated member of Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) New Delhi. Recently he has been elected as the chairman of education regulation committee, PCI. He has around 18 years of teaching and research experience. His prime research area includes formulation of multiple bioactive delivery systems like for wound management, Designing strategies for protein and peptide delivery, advanced statistical and mathematical modeling methods, Tissue Culture Techniques and designing novel systems for delivery of plant actives and extracts. He has published more than 90 research and review papers in national and international journals with h-index-28 and i10-index 70 with citations of more than 3803. He has 2 Indian and 2 International patents granted. He has completed several projects funded by UGC, AICTE, ICMR and DST. He is recipient of prestigious Department of health research-ICMR young Indian biomedical scientist award 2019, UGC RAMAN international award 2014 and UGC Research Award 2012-14 by university Grants Commission, New Delhi. He is among the top 2% list of scientists worldwide in the field of pharmacy and pharmacology surveyed by Stanford University 2021. He also has number of prestigious awards at state level for excellence in research viz.; Young scientist award of the state of Chhattisgarh 2006 in medical sciences. He is state evaluator and mentor for national children science congress. Mr. Tapan Kumar Chaudhuri, is a Pharmacy Graduate & Post Graduate from prestigious University. He started his career as Lecturer in west Bengal. He was appointed as Inspector of Drugs, Directorate of Drugs, West Bengal and promoted to Assistant Director of Drugs. he is an active member of IPGA and held many executive positions at the National Level as Joint Secretary-IPGA. He was also Associate Secretary to organize 70th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress 2018 at Amity Univerity. He was organized many health awareness camps in West Bengal and held many career orientation programs for students of Pharmacy, and refresher courses for Pharmacists. In totality he has 25 year of rich experience in Regulatory and 6 years experience in Academics. Presently he is associate Professor with one pharmacy college (GNIPST) in West Bengal.
Dr. Ajay Sachan passed B. Pharm. in the year 1991 from Amravati University (M.S.) and M.Pharm., Ph.D (Medicinal & Pharmaceutical Chemistry) from SGSITS, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore (M.P.) in the year 1999 and published 13 research papers in various national and international journals. Dr. Ajay Sachan had worked as a Drugs Inspector in Drugs Control Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi from year 2001 to year 2013. Presently, he is working as Asstt. Drugs Controller (India), CDSCO, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. He has given outstanding and sincere contribution to Drugs Control Organization. Dr. Nishith M. C. is a passionate pharmaceutical professional with over 13 years of experience as a Drugs Inspector in the enforcement wing of the Drugs Control Department, Government of Kerala. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Pharmacy from Government Medical College, Trivandrum, Kerala, and a Ph.D. from JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru, Karnataka. Mr. Sudarsan Biswal was born on 17th of April 1979 in Tentoi, Naugan, Jagatsinghpur, Odisha. He obtained his B-Pharm. degree from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 2004 and had secured rank 1 in Final Year B-Pharm. He qualified GATE -2004 with a percentile score 98.65(AIR 113). He got his Master’s degree (M-Pharm. - Pharmaceutics) in 2006 from University Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, R. T. M. Nagpur University, Nagpur. He had worked as a lecturer at Royal College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Berhampur, Odisha from the year 2006 and started his research work for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the year 2007 at the same college under the supervision of Prof. P. N. Murthy. Then, he had worked as Drugs Inspector, under Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha, India from date 31.07.2009 to 30.09.2021. Then promoted as Assistant Drugs Controller, w.e.f 01.10.2021 & continuing. Dr. G. Jeyabalan is a Registered Pharmacist after earning the B.Pharmacy degree from Annamalai University, Tamilnadu since 1992. He started his career as a teacher after serving as a trainee in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Quality Control. He qualified his M Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy under the guidance of Prof. V. Venkatapiah, Retd Professor of K.M. College of Pharmacy and Ph.D., in Pharmacognosy under the guidance of Dr. Brindha, Retd Professor of Pharmacognosy, CSMDRIA, from Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai. He served in various cadres at Ultra College of Pharmacy, Madurai and S. Chattanatha Karayalar College of Pharmacy, Tenkasi. In 2007, Prof. G. Jeyabalan has joined as Principal at Alwar Pharmacy College, Alwar, Rajasthan. The Alwar Pharmacy College has attained several levels of growth under the leadership of Dr. G. Jeyabalan, starting PG and Ph.D., programs and Diploma in Pharmacy. Dr Sri Lakshmi Darbhamulla is having a decade full of Academic experience, presently working as Professor & Vice-Principal at Vikas Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh.
