The event, themed "Nutrition and Fitness: Essential Guidelines for Women's Health at Every Life Stage," was streamed live on YouTube from 5 PM to 6 PM. Dr. Pooja Sharma, Founder & CEO of APAR HEALTH, delivered an impactful keynote address, focusing on the critical importance of tailored nutrition and fitness regimens for women at various life stages, including adolescence, reproductive years, and menopause. She emphasized the need for balanced diets rich in essential nutrients, regular physical activity, and the role of mental well-being in achieving overall health. Dr. Sharma also discussed the significance of preventive healthcare measures and the impact of lifestyle choices on long-term health outcomes. Dr. Deependra Singh, Vice-President of IPGA Central Zone, served as the Chief Guest, adding prestige to the event. Dr. Manju Singh, Chairperson of the IPGA Women Forum and Event Convenor, warmly welcomed all guests and participants, while Dr. Geeta Deswal, Coordinator of the IPGA WF Haryana State Branch, moderated the session with expertise. Dr. Vandana Garg, Co-Chairperson, presented the vote of thanks, recognizing the contributions of everyone involved. The Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Chhattisgarh, in collaboration with the IPGA Women’s Forum CG Branch, organized a national-level virtual wellness workshop titled “Happiness – The Purpose of Life” on April 30, 2025, via Microsoft Teams. The session featured Ms. Vibha Gurtu, a well-known wellness and spiritual coach, who shared insightful perspectives on cultivating lasting happiness through gratitude, mindfulness, purpose, compassion, and personal growth. Distinguishing between hedonic and eudaimonic happiness, she emphasized that true fulfillment comes from aligning life with values and meaningful goals. The workshop addressed the mental, physical, and emotional benefits of happiness and highlighted practical strategies to overcome common barriers such as comparison, materialism, and negativity bias. Organized under the leadership of Dr. Manju Singh, President of IPGA Women’s Forum CG Branch, and coordinated by Ms. Rajni Yadav, Associate Professor at AIP, the event saw active participation from students and faculty of Amity University and other institutions. Through engaging discussions, self-reflection exercises, and interactive learning, the workshop created an open and supportive platform to promote emotional well-being, stress management, and positive lifestyle practices. The initiative successfully reinforced the importance of mental wellness and holistic growth in both personal and professional life.
Faculty development programme was organised on Date 21 – 25 April 2025 the topic of the FDP was ‘‘Strengthening teaching, learning and evaluation process in Higher education’’the programme was jointly organized by IQAC cell Shri shankaracharya professional university, Bhilai(c.g), IIT Bhilai inassociation with IPGA Womens Forum (C.G Branch) and Society of pharmaceutical sciences and Research. The programe was organized under faculty teaching, improvement and administration skills 25 faculty members attended the programme and gained valuable information and insights from different sessions. On the First day of FDP date 21 April - The first session (Time 11- 12.30 pm) was given by Dr. Vivekanand Mandal , Associate professor, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidhalaya, Bilaspur (C.G) on the topic “Navigating the complexities of literature for effective learning and research trends evaluation which explores how individuals—particularly students, educators, and researchers—can effectively engage with complex bodies of literature to enhance both learning outcomes and research quality. It emphasizes two key objectives Understanding and Managing Complex Literature, especially academic or scholarly literature, can be vast, technical, and often difficult to interpret. This complexity arises from: Specialized vocabulary Theoretical frameworks , Conflicting viewpoints across sources, Evolving methodologies and findings and to develop analytical thinking, Gain exposure to diverse perspectives Understand the historical and theoretical context of ideas , Build a foundation for academic writing. The second of the programme ( Date 22 April 2025) lecture of the day was delivered by Dr. Gunjan Jeswani, Principal , School of Pharmacy < SSPU , Bhilai on the topic Integrating AI in to curriculum develop ent and teaching methodologies, his topic focuses on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used to improve education by helping in two main areas: Curriculum Development – designing what students should learn, Teaching Methodologies – how that content is taught in classrooms Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to computer systems that can "think," "learn," and make decisions like humans. In education, AI can help analyze student data, recommend personalized learning materials, or even assist teachers in planning lessons. Integrating AI means using these smart tools to improve teaching and learning—making education more personalized, efficient, and flexible.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the IPGA Women Forum, Haryana State Branch, in collaboration with Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamunanagar (Accredited by NAAC ‘A’ Grade and NBA), organized a National Seminar on “Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at Workplace” on March 10, 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness and promote safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace environments, especially for women. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Kamla Pathak, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai. She provided an in-depth overview of the POSH Act, emphasizing the legal rights of women at the workplace, institutional responsibilities, and strategies for effective implementation. Her powerful talk inspired participants to advocate for zero tolerance toward harassment and to foster a culture of accountability and empowerment. The seminar was streamed live on the official YouTube channel of GGSCOP and witnessed active participation from educators, professionals, and students across the country. The event served as a meaningful tribute to International Women’s Day, reinforcing the commitment of IPGA and GGSCOP toward gender equality, safety, and professional dignity in all spheres of work.
