Webinar on “Women’s Mental Health Issues and Coping Mechanism” on Occasion of INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

IPGA Womens Forum Central Zone celebrated International Women’s Day on 08th March 20225 in association with Oxford International College, Indore. Theme of this year is Accelerate Action. Any action could not be accelerated without solving mental issues. So, an Expert Lecture was conducted on topic “Women’s Mental Health Issues and Coping Mechanism” in online mode. The Speaker Dr. Lavina Singh, currently working as HOD, School of Social Sciences, Renaissance University, Indore and Also working as counselling psychologist at Visit Health. She was associated with Women & Child Development Department as a para volunteer and Jila Rozgar Office as Career Counsellor. She was having more than 12 years expertise in Career Counselling, Relationship Counselling, Adolescents counselling. The program was inaugurated by a welcome note delivered by Dr. Priya Jain, Professor & Principal, OIC, Indore. A brief about IPGA was given to our expert and participants by Dr. Suman Gehlot, Associate Professor, Parijat College of Pharmacy, Indore. Expert was introduced to our guests and participants by Dr. Shaily Choudhary, Principal, Compfeeder College of Pharmacy, Indore. Dr. Lavina has discussed various situations which arises mental issues especially in women. These mental issues result in various disorders which extends from mental and physical also. At the end of the session, vote of thanks was given by Dr. Swapnil Verma, Principal, Vindhya Institute of Pharmacy, Satna. About 120 students have participated the event in online mode. Convenor of the event was Dr. Manju Singh Rawat, Chairperson, IPGA Women’s Forum. Co-convenor was Dr. Vandana Garg, Co-Chairperson, IPGA Women’s Forum. Dr. Priya Jain was the Organizing Secretary of the event and Dr. Shaily Choudhary was coordinator of the event.

International Women’s Day Celebration on theme Accelerate

IPGA Women's Forum Central Zone in association with Oxford International College, Indore and Indore International College, proudly celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, with the empowering theme “Accelerate Action – नारी तू नारायणी.” Held from 10:30 AM onwards, the event featured an engaging panel discussion focusing on women's empowerment, leadership, and societal contribution. The program was graced by the distinguished presence of Ms. Sakshi Malik, India’s first female Olympic medalist in wrestling, who served as the Chief Guest. Her powerful address inspired the audience by highlighting her journey, the challenges she overcame, and the importance of perseverance, discipline, and equality in achieving success. The event was inaugurated under the leadership of Chairman Adv. Akshanshu Tiwari, CEO Mr. Kuldeep Tiwari, and Group Director Prof. (Dr.) Punit K. Dwivedi, whose support emphasized the institution's commitment to gender inclusivity and women’s advancement. Through thought-provoking discussions and motivational narratives, the program aimed to inspire action toward building a more inclusive society. The event concluded with a renewed sense of commitment to uplifting women in all spheres of life, making the celebration both impactful and memorable.

National Symposium on “Women in STEM: Breaking Barriers and Building Legacies”

IPGA Women Forum, Haryana State Branch, in collaboration with the Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy (GGSCOP), Yamuna Nagar, organized a prestigious National Symposium on “Women in STEM: Breaking Barriers and Building Legacies” on 11th February 2025. This virtual event aimed to celebrate and empower women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), promoting inclusivity and leadership. The symposium brought together eminent speakers, including Dr. Priya Rao, Assistant Professor at Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Raipur, and Dr. Richa Shri, Professor at Punjabi University, Patiala. Their thought-provoking talks inspired attendees with stories of resilience, achievements, and strategies to overcome gender barriers in STEM fields. The event featured keynote addresses, expert panel discussions, and interactive mentorship sessions. Participants gained insights into creating equitable workspaces and the significance of women's representation in scientific innovation and research.

National Webinar on “Global Career Opportunities for Pharmacists”

The Indian Pharmaceutical Graduates’ Association (IPGA), in collaboration with Elite Expertise, successfully organized a webinar titled “Global Career Opportunities for Pharmacists” on 19th October (Saturday) from 10:00 AM IST onwards. This insightful session aimed to unlock international career prospects for Indian pharmacists, particularly in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, and Ireland. The esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Deependra Singh, Chairman of the Education Regulation Committee, Pharmacy Council of India, delivered the keynote address emphasizing the global demand for qualified pharmacists and the need for regulatory readiness and professional upskilling. Renowned international speakers Mr. Arief Mohammad and Ms. Harika Bheemavarapu, both accredited consultant pharmacists from Australia, shared their valuable experiences and practical guidance. Their presentations covered licensing pathways, job prospects, and real-life challenges faced by pharmacists seeking to work abroad. The session was facilitated by the IPGA Women Forum, with Dr. Manju Singh as Chairperson, Dr. Vandana Garg as Co-Chairperson, Dr. Ramanpreet Walia as North Zone Coordinator, and Dr. Geeta Deswal serving as the Organizing Secretary. The forum played a pivotal role in mobilizing participation and coordinating the event. The webinar witnessed enthusiastic participation from pharmacy students and professionals nationwide. It concluded with a Q&A session that addressed participant queries regarding documentation, bridging programs, and language proficiency requirements. This event marked a significant step toward empowering Indian pharmacists with global mobility and awareness of international professional standards.

Guest Lecture ob Role of Non-Pharmacological Therapy in Women’s Health Management

The IPGA Women Forum North Zone, in collaboration with Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Noida, organized a guest lecture on the topic “Role of Non-Pharmacological Therapy in Women’s Health Management” on September 23, 2024. The session featured Dr. Anjali Dubey from Cure and Care Clinic, Noida, as the keynote speaker. The lecture, held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, focused on the growing importance of physiotherapy as a non-pharmacological intervention in improving women’s quality of life. Dr. Dubey shared valuable insights on integrating physiotherapy into preventive and therapeutic healthcare, highlighting its role in managing various women's health issues. The session explored the latest trends and advancements in physiotherapy tailored to the unique health needs of women and offered practical knowledge about its applications in areas such as pain management, postnatal care, and hormonal health. The event was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Manju Singh (Event Convenor) and Dr. Vandana Garg (Event Co-convenor), with support from organizing secretaries Dr. Ramanpreet Walia, Dr. Swati Modan, and Prof. Ankita Wali. The initiative served as a platform for academic and professional enrichment, encouraging the adoption of holistic and non-invasive approaches in women's health management.
