National Deworming Day Awareness Programme by IPGA Udaipur Chapter Report: Awareness program on National Deworming Day” One day awareness programme on Deworming was successfully completed on 04/09/2019 at theSeminar Hall, Bhupal Nobles’ University Udaipur. Previously one day workshop cumAwareness program for the students under 19 age of Udaipur region on “National DewormingDay” was on 03/09/2019 (Tuesday), but the programme was rescheduled on 04/09/2019 due tounavailability of prime speaker. The chief guest and key speaker was Dr. Rajesh Malik, MDPediatrics, Medical Officer and a renowned child specialist from Udaipur region. “Role of pharmacists in identifying and reforming the status quo of Drug Abuse in India” , “Evaluating the Potential of Online pharmacies in India”, “Understanding and assessing the various dimensions of Ayushman Bharat Yojana”, “Understanding the need and strategies to modernize the current pharmacy education system in India”, “Unveiling the inequalities in the mental healthcare system Of India” This was a special project initiated by IPGASF on the topic “Outlining and assessing the different means that people adopt to discard the unwanted or expired medicines on the grounds of rationality”. The agenda for the Pharmacy Reform Goal 2019 decided by IPGASF was Proper patient counseling on safe medication disposal as it is an alarming issue today and gaining more and more awareness from the healthcare professionals as well as consumers. There is a lack of awareness associated with appropriate disposal of expired, unwanted, and unused medications. Some international and national studies showed that most patients stored their medications improperly at home that may lead to undesirable effects or unintentional risks like improper self-medication, accidental overdose, and prescription drug abuse. After conducting a 4 month long descriptive study, the project was concluded on 6Th April, 2019 with a special presentation on correct methods of disposal of pharmaceutical waste.
