Report on Mega Pharma Job Fest 2016 at LLOYD on April 9th 2016

On Saturday April 9th 2016, Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association (IPGA) in association with School of Pharmacy, Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology, organized first ever MEGA PHARMA JOB FEST 2016 on Career Opportunities for the B. Pharm., M. Pharm., Pharm D., Diploma in Pharmacy and PhD Students from all over the country gathered and tried their luck for best job. Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association is national level association of Indian Pharmacy Graduates. This was an innovative concept to organize the “PHARMA JOB FEST 2016” which will bring together the employers in pharma industry and connect them with a wide range of talent available among students of this lucrative profession. It will be a great opportunity for the students of various pharma institutions to be face-to-face with bigwigs of the industry. The areas of interest could be Manufacturing & Production, Quality Control & Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Sales & Marketing, Hospital Pharmacists or any other suitable position in Drugs &Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, MedicalDevices and FMCG segments. On the occasion were present eminent personalities from the profession of Pharmacy namely:- Dr G N Singh, (Drugs Controller General of India, CDSCO, FDA, New Delhi), Dr Ajay Sachan, (Assistant Drugs Controller India, CDSCO, FDA, New Delhi), Chief Guest, Delhi State Pharmacy Council Shri S. L. Nasa (Registrar, Delhi State Pharmacy Council, President- IHPA), Guest Delhi State Drugs Control Department, NCT Delhi Mr. P.P. Sharma(Ex-Vice PresidentPharmacy Council of India, Ex Dy Drugs Controller, Drugs Control Office, NCT Delhi) Mr Pawan Kumar Jaggi, (Chief Pharmacy Executive, Delhi State Cancer Society), Mr. Atul Nasa (Licensing Authority,Drugs Control Office, NCT Delhi, President, IPGA, Vice President -AIDCOC), Guest AcademicsDr Arun Garg, (Professor, Dept. of P h a r m a c o l o g y, K R M a n g l a m University, Gurgaon Invitee Community Pharmacists Mr K B Gupta (Community Pharmacist) Invitee Dr G N Singh emphasized on the quality education system with more of practical orientation and internships. He informed the audiences about the various initiatives taken by CDSCO. Mr.Singh shared about the global presence of Pharmaceutical Industry of India andample opportunities waiting forbudding pharmacists. He also insisted on mutual respect for each andevery one withhonesty and commitment in all deliverables. Mr.Singh also insisted that such activities are very necessary and important intoday context for making students aware about the current expectations of industries from the aspirants. Mr Atul Nasa interacted with students and informed about the various career opportunities availablein Pharma regulatory affairs and also briefed the students about importance of joining professional Associations and participation in mega event like this. Mr. S.L. Nasa also congratulated the institute for maintaining such high standards of teachingin the Department of Pharmacy. He told the audience about the various initiatives that he, as the registrar of the Delhi Pharmacy Council had undertaken for the upliftment of the pharmacy profession. In the end, Dr Vijay Bhalla thanked the guests and the entire team of Lloyd for making the event successful.

“International Conference onNurturing Global Healthcare (ICNGH-2016)” at Amity University, Noida

A two day International Conference on Nurturing Global Healthcare was organized by Amity Institute of Pharmacy in technical collaboration with National Coordination Centre Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission MoH&FW, Government of India, Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association,Indian Pharmaceutical Association-UP Branch, Society of Pharmaceutical Education& Research, HealthCare Division of Vardaan Welfare Society at Amity University, Noida on 11th& 12th of March, 2016. The theme of the Conference was “Building up Sci-Tech Pharmacist of Today”. Hon'ble Guest of Honor Mr. GulshanVirmani (Addl. Secretary, Hon'ble Minister, DST) in his address described the importance of tuning up Pharmacy and other related curricula as per current needs of the Healthcare System. Hon'ble SpeakerDr.BikashMedhi (PGIMER, Chandigarh) read key note address on the Theme and described different aspects of the PvPI and role of the Pharmacists in it. The Souvenir & Scientific Abstract book was released by dignitaries chaired on the dais: Dr.WSelvamurthy (President ASTIF, Amity University), Dr. B C Das ( Chiarman, AIMMSCR, Amity University), Mr. S L Nasa (Registrar, Delhi Pharmacy Council), Dr.Harpal S Buttar (University of Ottawa, Canada), Mr. GulshanVirmani accompanied with Chairman LOC Dr.TanveerNaved (Principal, Amity Institute of Pharmacy). The scientific sessions were presided over by Co-chairman Prof. G T Kulkarni and Convener Dr.UpendraNagaich. Eminent speakers Dr.Harpal S Buttar, Dr.PradeepVisen (University of Toronto, Canada),Dr.Sukhwinder Bhullar (Bursa Technical University,Turkey), Dr.BikashMedhi, Dr. V Kalaiselvan (Pr. More than 500 delegates were registered from all over India and 200 scientific papers were presented by students and faculty members from various pharmacy and medical colleges in the program. December 2015 Recent Advances in Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences At Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Virbhadra (Rishikesh) Indian pharmacy graduate association has organized a National Conference on Recent Advances in Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciencesin association with Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Rishikesh at IDPL Guest House on5th December 2015. On this occasion approximately 70 delegates including educationists, scientists, and studentswere gathered from different places and presented their research work. The eventstarted with lamp lighting by Institute Chief Guest Dr. Y D Desai from USA accompanied with Mr. G. S. Bedi,General Manager, IDPL, Rishikesh, invited speakers Prof. R. C. Dubey, Mr.Pankaj Sharma, Director Smt. TarawatiInstitute of Biomedical & Allied Sciences, Roorkee, and Dr.Avtar Chand Rana, Director, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Y D Desai, America. In his inaugural speech he said all world is looking towards India for Innovations and discoveries in the field of pharmaceuticals as well as biological sciences. He also motivated the participants for doing better in their respective fields. He has also emphasized his concern toward less preventive diseases like CANCER and AIDS and asked the scholars to concentrate their works to prevention and cure of such diseases. He said a lot of work is required in this arena. During the program Prof. R. C. Dubey, Dean, Faculty of Medical sciences and Health, Gurukul Kangri Vishwadyalaya, HARIDWAR, was present on the occasion as Guest of Honour and he shared his vast knowledgeand experience on the fermentation technology. He also praised IDPL for providing such interactive platform tothe young and dynamic researches. The first prize was bagged by Ms. Reshma Kumari, Research Scholar of Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. Chief Guest Mr. G. S. Bedi (General Manager, IDPL, Rishikesh ) accompanied by Professor R. C. Dubey and Mr. Pankaj Sharma distributed the prizes to winners of oral and poster competition. During this event Dr.Somesh Thapliyal, Dr.Saloni Kakkar, Dr.Vineet Mittal, Dr. Vijay Jyoti was also present. Mr. G. S. This program was organized at IDPL, Rishikesh, under chairmanship of Mr G.S. Bedi, General Manager, IDPL, Rishikesh, coordinated by Mr. Kapil Kumar Goel and Mr Ashwani Jangra, Prince Prashant. Scientific session in the conference involved deliberations by invited educationists, scientists, and healthcare providers, Oral and Poster Presentations by delegates. Total seventy posters, five oral presentations and two speaker notes were presented by speakers and various delegates from different states MD University, Hariyana, Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar, Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, HARIDWAR and so on.

IPGA Telangana Activities 2021

Initial Open House and Telangana State Executive Committee Meeting Conducted on 28-03-2021 with all the EC members and office bearers. The event was hosted by KBR Resorts at Jodimetla, Warangal Highway, Hyderabad, Telangana. On 04-04-2021, Virtual Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association, Central Executive Council Meeting was conducted.
