On Saturday March 13th 2021, SGT College of Pharmacy, GT University, organized 2" National Conference on Pharmacy Practice on the theme "Challenges in prevention of MicrobialResistance" for the B. Pharm., M. Pharm., Pharm D., Diploma in Pharmacy and Ph.D. Students including professionals from Industry, Research and Academics from all over the country. The conference was sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (Department of Science & Technology, Government of India) in association with Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association (IPGA). The concept behind organizing the "2nd National Conference on Pharmacy Practice" has brought together the professionals from Hospital Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy, Industry, Research, Academics, Regulatory and other sectors of Pharmacy profession on a common platform to accomplish the objectives of challenges in prevention of microbial resistance, promotion of safe use of antimicrobial agents, spreading awareness to reduce unnecessary use of anti­ microbial and to provide a common platform to disseminate knowledge on various causes of AMR among healthcare professionals. Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla, Dean, SGT College of Pharmacy in his welcome address thanked all the dignitaries for sparing their valuable time to make this event a grand success. SGT University officials, Prof. Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Sharif Ahmed, in his address stressed on the integrated research in this field. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar thanked all dignitaries and updated participants on the ancient history of evolution and using these type of medicines. University officials felicitated all the invitees and also welcomed the dignitaries and students. The event was started by auspicious lamp lighting by dignitaries to mark the commencement of conference. SGT University duly acknowledge Mr Sanjay Arora, CMD, Gentech Healthcare Private Limited for sponsoring hand sanitizer to all the dignitaries and delegates. Mr. Atul Nasa, Deputy Drug Controller, Head of Office cum Licensing Authority, Drugs Control Office, President, IPGA, Vice President -AIDCOC, Executive Member-PC!) from Delhi State Drugs Control Department, NCT Delhi graced the occasion as Chief Guest of the event. Mr. Atul Nasa, in his speech stressed upon the theme of the conference highlighting challenges we are facing today in the phase of Pandemic due to a tiny virus COVID-19. In his lucid talk he quoted many examples of responsible use of medicines and the role of Pharmacists. He in his talk conveyed that today 50% of the population is suffering from microbial resistance as per the report of WHO and we the pharmacist should take care about the precautionary measures so that "There should not be rise in Anti - microbial resistance". KR. Mangalam University, School of Medical and Allied Sciences organized the Virtual Industrial Tour at Pharma Synth Formulation Ltd. which is Sponsored by Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association (IPGA) on 28th ay 2021 at 2 PM. Event started by a welcome deliverance given by the session moderator Ms. Neha Minocha, Assistant Professor, SMAS & Dr. Mamta Shankar, Assistant professor, SMAS. They welcomed the Guest of honor Dr. Vijay Bhalla, Dean, SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University & Treasurer, IPGA by reciting his Achievements. Dr. Arun Garg, Convenor & Dean, SMAS welcomed all the Panellists and participants with his inaugural speech. The event was started with welcome speech of our both panellist Dr. Arvind Kumar Gupta, Director, Pharma Synth Formulation and Mr. Arjun Gupta, CoE Pharma Synth Formulation There was 700+ Participants from all over India joined us through Zoom and few at Facebook live. The event was bedecked by eloquent and eminent speaker, Dr. Arvind Gupta. The Virtual tour was sectioned into 7 part in a single video with 7 different section enlisted as Raw material or Ware house unit, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Tablet Section, Capsule Section, Syrup Section and Packaging Section. The quality of the video is very good and explanation of each section is also there in the same video. It was very insightful and one by one virtually we had covered all the industry section. Dignitaries like Dr. Jeyaballan Govindaswamy, Dean of Alwar College of Pharmacy also joined as a panellist. After the virtual tour there was the small panel discussion and raised the topic like Gaps between Industria and Academia and How to bridge the same & What skills industry want in students. The event was followed by the Q&A session which is well coordinated by Ms. Neha Minocha & Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Student Coordinator. The webinar was then successfully concluded by Dr. Arun Garg, whopresented the Vote of Thanks and final remarks. All things considered, the Webinar was a grand success and efforts put in by Organizing team proved to be fruitful under the guidance of Dr. Arun Garg and Dr. Mamta Shankar.

IPGA-Kerala State Branch in association with Kerala State Drugs Control Enforcement Officers Association (KSDCE ) organized a webinar on 12th June, 2021. The programme was inaugurated by Mr.John K.J, Drugs Controller, Kerala State. Sri.Jayan PM IPGA­ Kerala State Branch welcomed the gathering and Dr.C.S Satheeshkumar, President, IPGA-Kerala State Branch presided the function. Mr.Koteshwar Rao (Coordinator, IPGA South India), Mr.Jayan Philip (Vice President, All India Drugs Control Officers Confederation), Mr.Mathew Kokad (Managing Director, Kokad Pharma Ltd.) and Mr. Abdul Nazeer (General Secretary, Kerala Pharmacy Graduates Association) were felicitated in the function. The webinar session was handled by Mr.Manmohan Taneja, Assistant State Drugs. Controller, Government of Haryana. The topic of webinar was "COSMETICS RULES, 2020". Mr. Shaji M Varghese, President, Kerala State Drugs Control enforcement Officers Association was the moderator of the seminar. The programme was very lively and many pharmacy professionals including senior officers from Drugs Control Department from various states joined the webinar. The webinar concluded with vote of thanks, proposed by Dr.Limcee Thampi, Executive Member, IPGA Kerala State Branch.

Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association, Gujarat State Branch has organized Webinar Series 2021 during which one virtual webinar was organized On 11th October 2021, Monday at IWIPER on Microsoft Teams application. Mr. Pawan I€umar Jaggi Sir was the eminent speaker for the webinar, who had delivered his talk on the topic “Career Opportunities in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences”. Dr. Bhagirath Patel, President IPGA Gujarat did welcome the eminent speaker, present guest, Members of IPG and all the participants for the webinar. Dr. Palak Shah, Department of Pharmacology introduced the Speaker. All the participants were informed about the IPGA and its activities, membership benefits and about the webinar. Dr. Shrikalp Deshpande, Principal- UBIPER, Vice President-IPGA Gujarat has given brief about the I€BIPER-I€SV and courses offered at the lnstitute. The speech of the speaker guided everyonefor enhancing their vision for career opportunities in the field of pharmacy and gave complete information for all the branches of pharmaceutical field like Clinical Research Organizations, Hospital Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy, Medical Writing, Industry, Designing and packaging of pharmaceuticals, Academia as well as Government Sector including Regulatory affairs, Drug Inspector, Government Analyst at Central and State govt laboratories, NPPA, NIB, DRDO etc. where one can find the avenues to build pharmaceutical career. At the end he discussed various merits of Pharmaceutical sciences like Diverse career options, job stability, Opportunity to help people in different ways, Respectable remuneration, Respectful stature in the society with highest level of trust in Pharmacists globally by the people after teachers, doctors, nurses, and firefighters. His speech was very motivative and inspirational and unique during the entire webinar. The session was interactive with live question-answer time slot at the end of webinar for one-to-one interaction with the attendees. Dr. Divyesh Shastri given vote of thanks, felicitated Mr. Pawan I€umarJaggi Sir with e-certificate of the Webinar and acknowledge the thanks to the President and Secretary of IPGA Central branch. More than 200 participants including faculties and students from all over India has attended the webinar acti ely. Date: 25 & 26 November 2021 IN.B. Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (KBIPER) & NSS Unit of KBIPER sponsored by IPGA celebrated a two-day (25th & 26th November 2021) virtual event of National Pharmacy W'eek sponsored by IPGA, India National Pharmacy week 2021 was celebrated with the theme: “Pharmacist: An integral part of Healthcare” by the Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association, Gujarat State Branch at IN.B. Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Gandhinagar on 25th & 26th November 2021. Afore than 450 students from various institutions of Gujarat participated in various events i.e., Debate, Quiz, Elocution, Poster presentation, Pharma ad and block interview etc. On the first day, Mr. Tejas Shah, Head of Operations, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Ahmedabad, Gujarat graced the occasion as the invited chief guest of the Inaugural ceremony and Dr. Nipul I€apadia, DGhI- Apollo Hospitals international Ltd as the Chief guest and Mr. hlansinh Chaudhary, President- Druggists and Chemists Association, Gandhinagar as well as Mr. Rex Shah, Community Pharmacist- Mahi Medical, Gandhinagar as guest of honor in the valedictory function. He introduced the chief guest of the event, Organizing committee members, Participants and faculty coordinators, Management of the Institutions. Dr. Shastri presented glimpses of work done and forthcoming event by Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association Gujarat state branch. Following the Inauguration ceremony chief guest of the function Mr. Tejas Shah, delivered keynote address and covered an overview of about CDISC, RBM, Monoclonal Antibodies, an insight about clinical trials, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and cognitive science and discussed about what precision medicine is and how AI is improving predicti› e analytics in healthcare was explored.
