Association Activities

IPGA- Kerala State Branch celebrated World Pharmacists Day, 2021 jointly with IPA-Kerala State Branch and Kerala Pharmacy Graduates Association (KPGA). Smt. Veena George, Hon’ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Kerala State offered a message during the occasion. A scientific session was also arranged in connection with this program. Prof. (Dr.) MohananKunnummal (Vice Chancellor of Kerala University of Health Sciences) inaugurated the session. The Guest of Honor of the function was Dr. S. Suresh Madhavan (Dean, University of North Texas Health Science, Centre System College of Pharmacy, Texas, USA). Thespeaker of the scientific session was Dr. Madhavan Nampoothiri (Assistant Professor-Selection Grade, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Karnataka). The topic was “Neurological Manifestations of Covid-19”. The session was moderated by Adv. Unnikrishna Panicker M.K (Executive member, IPGA Kerala State Branch).

IPGA Kerala State Branch organized a webinar on “GMP Documentation & Records for Pharma Industry”. The session was handled by Mr. Suresh Kamath (Vice President, Formulation, Centaur Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Goa). Mr. Mathew Kokad (MD, Kokad Pharma Lab Limited, Pala) moderated the session.

IPGA-Kerala State Branch celebrated National Pharmacy Week, 2021jointly with IPA-Kerala State Branch and Kerala Pharmacy Graduates Association (KPGA).We arranged a webinar also in connection with the celebrations. The program was inaugurated by Smt. Veena George, Honorable Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Kerala State. Mr. Jayan P.M (Drugs Controller and Licensing Authority, Kerala State) was the Guest of Honor in the function. The webinar was on the topic “Important Laws Related to Pharmacy” and handled by Dr.P.K.Sreekumar (Former Deputy Drugs Controller of Kerala State). The session was moderated by Dr. Nihsith M.C (Executive Member, IPGA-Kerala State Branch).

A webinar has been arranged with KPGA & IPA on 23rd at 730 PM on Regulatory Aspects, Manufacturing & Quality of IVD in India. 150 pharmacists including students joined in the progtamme. It was a well-attended programme with lots of interactions. DC Kerala, Mr. PM Jayan chaired the webinar.

IPGA TS took initiation in conducting a Quiz on 25 th September 2021 and arranged a prize money (Rs.10,000 Sponsered by Sri Rajamouli, MD, EuroMedicare International, Hyderabad). Quiz winner was Mr. Divakar, KVK College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad. Eight Hundred and seveny students were participated in the Quiz. G.Koteshwar Rao, President attended as Chief Guest in GITAM School of Pharmacy, GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad in association with IPGA Telangana in the World Pharmacists Day celebrations on 25 September,
